Cutie Patooties

We have babies....lots of babies!! Cookie had seven beautiful babies...five girls and 2 boys...on Friday 13th (she just couldn't wait till the 14th, Valentine's Day).

What an experience for was my first ever litter. I could not of made it without the help of my wonderful husband and daughter...Jim and Lisha. So a big THANKS to Team

Labor started around 8 pm Thurday evening and she had her first baby at 1:47 am. All the girls came first and then the boys. Last little boy arrived at 6:05 am.

Unfortunately, one little boy did not make it. That is the saddest part of being a breeder.

The others, however, are growing like little weeds. They are 2 weeks old now. Here are their one week old pictures....the last pic. is the little boy.

If you would like adopt one of these little cutie pies or for more information...check out my website...JillyBean's Shih Tzu Shoppe.

Long Time Gone

Well, it's been quite a while since I last blogged and lots has happened in our crazy little world.

First and foremost, we have a new baby girl in the Ponder family and she is BEAUTIFUL!! Jordyn Elizabeth..such a pretty name.... arrived Sunday, February 8th, weighing 4lbs. 7.80z. and 17 inches long. She is the first GRANDbaby, first GREAT Grandbaby, and first GREAT, GREAT, Grandbaby.

Jordyn Elizabeth with her proud Daddy, Great Grandmother, and Great, Great Grandfather. CONGRATULATIONS!! a healthy, beautiful baby girl!

Now to some tid-bit news....

We no longer have our beautiful Buster Brown..he is back with his current owner. He was growing too big to mate to our tiny girls. It was very sad and hard for me to return him, but I know he is well loved and cared for.

On a lighter note, our little white girl, Sugar Cookie Dough (aka, Cookie Momma) is about to pop with puppies. We are hoping she makes it to Valentine's Day. Wouldn't that be a sweet surprise!!! I am so excited (and a little nervous) to be having my very first litter of puppies.

And for my last bit of updates. I had knee surgery on both my knees Feb. 5Th. Both knees had torn meniscus with the right being the most damaged. I am doing well, but am real tired of hobbling around. The pain has been minimal, I took the pain meds. for the first day only. Seems the calves of my legs are the most sore...must be the old age!?!?

How Much Is That Doggy In the Window

Introducing......BUSTER BROWN FUDGE !!! Our first little stud muffin.
This picture is his first Puppy Parade Calendar contest entry. I hope he is a winner!

He has the cutest little smooshie face and is soooo sweet. He is 11 weeks old and weighs 4lbs. We hope to have beautiful babies from him in the near future.

He came to us from Phoenix Shih Tzu located in Glendale, Arizona. LeAnna is his breeder Mom and she the nicest person. She has super beautiful Shih Tzu and it has been my pleasure to meet her.

Everyone will be please to know that Buster has not slept with Mom and Dad. He has adjusted very well in his own little playpen . We have not heard a peep out of him during his first 2 nights here.

As far as the Fur Girls go...they are not so sure about this little rag mop that hops and jumps at them. It is really hilarious to watch them watch him. Presley Paige of course is super jealous. She is not having a thing to do with him. Lexi and Tootsie just ignore him. And then there is Maci...she has found a new love....sorry Kodi.

Working 9 to 5

Now the clean up begins. Everyone has a job to do. And neighbors are helping neighbors.

But our clean up pales in comparison to some. We rode around and took these pictures. It is heartbreaking. I can only imagine what some of these families are feeling.

And then there are some who have a sense of humor and more than likely are just thankful to be alive.

I Can See Clearly Now the Rain is Gone

We have made it through the storm and it was a long, long night. To hear thunder and winds for an hour or so is one thing, but to listen for almost 12 hours is quite another. We were so fortunate in that we had very minimal damage. Our satalite dish was blown off the roof and there were water leaks inside the attic. A few small trees were blown over.

We will not have electricity for awhile but we have our handy, dandy 38ft MoHo. The only problem is sleeping on a

I will post more when the internet is a little faster.

Ike is headed our way! We have decided to stay and weather the storms, so I will try and keep all informed as long as we have electricity. We have boarded the house and cleared all the vintage junk from the back yard.

There are seven of us, Jim and I, Lisha, Tedra, my Mom, Frances, my brother and his friend, Jeff and Andre'. Six little furbabies and one guinea pig. And some of us have already "hunkered down"

All is calm now but the winds should get pretty wild. I will keep you posted on our Hurricane Party so stay tuned.
