Cutie Patooties

We have babies....lots of babies!! Cookie had seven beautiful babies...five girls and 2 boys...on Friday 13th (she just couldn't wait till the 14th, Valentine's Day).

What an experience for me...it was my first ever litter. I could not of made it without the help of my wonderful husband and daughter...Jim and Lisha. So a big THANKS to Team Ponder...lol.

Labor started around 8 pm Thurday evening and she had her first baby at 1:47 am. All the girls came first and then the boys. Last little boy arrived at 6:05 am.

Unfortunately, one little boy did not make it. That is the saddest part of being a breeder.

The others, however, are growing like little weeds. They are 2 weeks old now. Here are their one week old pictures....the last pic. is the little boy.

Long Time Gone

Well, it's been quite a while since I last blogged and lots has happened in our crazy little world.

First and foremost, we have a new baby girl in the Ponder family and she is BEAUTIFUL!! Jordyn Elizabeth..such a pretty name.... arrived Sunday, February 8th, weighing 4lbs. 7.80z. and 17 inches long. She is the first GRANDbaby, first GREAT Grandbaby, and first GREAT, GREAT, Grandbaby.

Jordyn Elizabeth with her proud Daddy, Great Grandmother, and Great, Great Grandfather. CONGRATULATIONS!! a healthy, beautiful baby girl!

Now to some tid-bit news....

We no longer have our beautiful Buster Brown..he is back with his current owner. He was growing too big to mate to our tiny girls. It was very sad and hard for me to return him, but I know he is well loved and cared for.

On a lighter note, our little white girl, Sugar Cookie Dough (aka, Cookie Momma) is about to pop with puppies. We are hoping she makes it to Valentine's Day. Wouldn't that be a sweet surprise!!! I am so excited (and a little nervous) to be having my very first litter of puppies.

And for my last bit of updates. I had knee surgery on both my knees Feb. 5Th. Both knees had torn meniscus with the right being the most damaged. I am doing well, but am real tired of hobbling around. The pain has been minimal, I took the pain meds. for the first day only. Seems the calves of my legs are the most sore...must be the old age!?!?
